David Eggleston is our President and Chief Executive Officer.
Bob Pavey is a partner at Morgenthaler Ventures. He joined Morgenthaler in 1969 and has been a Partner since 1971. From 1990 to 1992, he served as President and then Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association. His major focus is on wireless, semiconductors, materials, devices and energy. He received a BS in physics from The College of William & Mary in 1964, an MS in metallurgical engineering from Columbia University in 1965 (awarded in 1966), and an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1967.
Charles C. Pope, served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Seagate Technology from 1999 to 2009. Following then on he served as corporate development officer of Seagate until his retirement in 2010. From 1998 to 1999 he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Seagate. Prior to that, he held the following positions at Seagate: Senior Vice President Finance, Storage Products from 1997 to 1998; Vice President Finance, Storage Products from 1996 to 1997; Vice President/General Manager, Media from 1994 to 1996; Vice President Finance and Treasurer from 1991 to 1994; and Vice President, Finance Far East Operations from 1989 to 1991.
Andy Rappaport, a partner at August Capital since 1996, brings technology and market experience into such areas as semiconductors, broadband communications, computer systems, and software. He has more than 20 years' experience as a founder, investor, and/or director of venture-backed start-ups, and has served on the boards of more than 40 public and private-companies.
Darrell Rinerson, a serial entrepreneur, has founded three memory start-ups and most recently, a start-up pursuing the LED business. In 1991, Micron Quantum Devices (MQD) was formed to develop Flash memory. In 1998, Micron Technology acquired MQD and he became the VP of the Flash memory product group at Micron. In 2001, Unity was founded to pursue next generation non-volatile memory. During the time he was our CEO, we raised $65 million of funding from VCs and strategic investors. He was also a founder and chairman of Qs Semiconductor which is developing a SiC (Silicon Carbide) based memory that can achieve a high density non-volatile static RAM. He has over 100 patents in the area of memory and memory technology. In 2010, he founded a LED start-up, Edify Photonics, to pursue the growing market for LEDs. He received a BS and MS from the University of Minnesota.
Chris Schaepe is a founder and managing director of Lightspeed Venture Partners, covering infrastructure technologies and services. He has 18 years of venture capital experience and four years of operating experience. Prior to Lightspeed, he served in corporate finance and capital markets roles at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Previously, he was a software engineer at IBM. He holds BS and MS degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from Stanford University.
L. David Sikes has more than 45 years experience in semiconductor and semiconductor equipment technologies and businesses. In 2002 he founded Exeter Consulting, specializing in working with technology start-up companies; and he consulted for TAEUS International Corporation - an intellectual property services company - assisting them with business development. He has been a member of our board since 2003 and became the chairman of board in 2010. Prior to his consulting work, he was the CEO of Mobius Microsystems, a semiconductor start-up developing CMOS-based clock structures. Earlier he was with Ramtron International Corporation, a specialty semiconductor non-volatile memory company for ten years, and served as Chairman and CEO from 1995 to 2001. Before joining Ramtron as COO in 1992 he was President and CEO of the U.S. operations for ASM International, a Vice President for Motorola, Inc. Semiconductor Product Sector, and held management positions with National Semiconductor and Eastman Kodak Company. He graduated from MIT in 1963, earning a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Economics.
